Paradise Lost
May ‘24
I like to think that this butler’s pantry table used to belong in a church and it was painted in Burgundy. The church was since then deconsecrated, due to some mysterious terrible event . Someone rescued it and repainted it in Olive and added a stencil to wash away the sad memories. But time is reclaiming the past and the original color is bleeding through and coming out to ensure we don’t forget.
Base of Annie Sloan Burgundy Chalk Paint, dry brushing in Olive, details in Versailles, The top has a pictorial stencil in Versailles, Chateau Grey and Old Ochre. Swedish Posy Moldings, clear and black wax. The inside of the drawer is in Chateau Grey with French Linen sponge dubbing.
